CBD For Overall Health-CBD Helps Pain Anxiety And Depression

What exactly is CBD? CBD stands for cannabidiol which is a natural occurring compound found in the cannabis plant. Its medicinal uses go back hundreds of years. CBD has many therapeutic properties that are now being recognized and tested by doctors and researchers around the globe.

It is very safe with no addiction potential, which makes it a great alternative to many medicines out there that have side effects. It is one of many phytocannabidoids which is what gives cannabis its healing property. CBD is closely related to THC, which is tetrahydrocannabidiol, it is the part of the cannabis plant that causes a high or stoned feeling, but CBD doesn’t cause this feeling in the body due to the fact that it acts on different receptors in the brain, which is why CBD for overall health is amazing. I use it for pain, ill be getting into how it can help with pain, anxiety, depression and more.

CBD For Pain

CBD is natural, which means by itself has no adverse effects on the body, it has even been proven safe for children. It has been found through testing to decrease inflammation in the body which is a culprit for many with arthritis and chronic pain.CBD also provides a calming effect, which reduces pain to a certain degree.

This is a great alternative to pain killers such as opioids as well. It is not habit-forming. I came across a review from 2008 which stated that CBD was effective in pain management and has no side effects and it even treats sleep disorders related to pain. There are different forms of CBD which I will be getting into..

CBD For Anxiety and Depression

CBD has been proven to help calm anxiety and stave off depression. Scientists everywhere have been researching this and more and more information is coming out all the time. Anxiety causes panic, high heart rate, nervousness and fear. CBD greatly reduces these symptoms.

Like I stated above it works on certain receptors in the brain. There are two kinds of cannabinoid receptors in our brain, the CB1 and CB2 which are distributed in different tissues and they have different types of signaling. CBD mainly works on serotonin receptors which are what regulate our feelings of happiness and calmness. This is how it helps with both anxiety and depression.

Although CBD is not yet regulated by the FDA, there are definitely kinds of CBD out there that does work and others that don’t. You just have to do some research. I have spent so much time and money finding the right products that really work for me so I will share them below.

Types of CBD

There are many types of CBD out there. There’s oil that comes in a glass bottle with a dropper, some are marked for the dosage, some aren’t. I have spent a lot of time and money trying to find what really works because there are a lot of products out there and it isn’t regulated or anything.

Charlottes web is a great brand that has been around a long time and that is really what you’re looking for, a company that is established and has great reviews. This has a lovely back story as well, Charlotte was a little girl who suffered terrible seizure and CBD oil almost completely cured her, so it also greatly helps seizures. I used this brand and it helped me a lot. You can find it online or in some health food stores. It comes in two different flavors at the time of this article

Another type are edibles. These come in gummies, chocolate and other goodies and it is also possible to make your own. I’ve tried the gummies, actually this was the first type of CBD I tried. For me they worked but then they stopped working after a while. There are also topicals out there and that would be good for arthritis or targeted pain. They come in a cream or a gel, and you just rub them on when needed. I haven’t tried this yet but I am planning to.

They also come in tablet or pill form, but definitely do your research there are many companies out there, some are just not legit. Lastly you can vape the oil, which is the fastest way to get it into your system and the way I like to use it. Vaporizing is heating up the oil with a battery using the oil either in cartridge form or vape juice. Always make sure that it is pure CBD with no other additives such as PG and VG which stands for propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, these are not safe on your lungs and could cause harm to them. Out of all the vape cartridges I’ve tried, the best by far is Vape Bright, they work and have great reviews. CBD comes in different strengths no matter what type you are using, you can’t overdose on it but remember that less is more when it comes down to it, so experiment to find the right dose for you.

Conclusion

CBD for overall health is a great way to combat depression, anxiety and help pain. There are even studies out there on its effects on cancer and cancer treatment side effects due to its ability to increase hunger. It is a great alternative to regular marijuana that has THC in it, because in some places’ marijuana is still illegal and some people can’t handle the stoned or high feeling from it.

If you do experience anxiety from THC, studies out there have shown that if you take CBD with it, it can reduce the anxiety from the marijuana. I have bad chronic back pain from my injury and sometimes it interferes with my daily activities, I was skeptical about the CBD, but after trial and error, I’ve discovered what works for me. My hope is that I could help somebody out there suffering with the same thing. I would love to hear your thoughts so don’t hesitate to comment below with any questions or comments.
